On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, MTI, LIFT & TWI came together for a virtual event highlighting solid-state joining and MTI's state-of-the-art linear friction welder, located at LIFT in Detroit, Michigan.
This digital solid-state joining summit touched on the linear friction welding process, provided a glimpse at MTI's LF35-75, which is one of the largest linear friction welders in the world, and included a virtual tour of LIFT to hear about the value-added benefits of its Detroit facility.
We also heard from Syncrude, a customer in the Oil & Gas industry, who has worked with MTI and LIFT on the LF35-75 to use linear friction welding to improve its processes.
